I wanted to show off a little craftiness that I’ve been working on. I had been stickering the store’s shopping bags and while they looked pretty great, it definitely gets pricey to have nice glossy stickers printed up.
I found this great resource for custom rubber stamps and they make just about any size and ship them super quick. I think I ordered on a Friday and had it by Tuesday. Plus, I’ve had this stylized peacock feather drawing kicking around in my sketchbook for quite a while. I originally tried it out with my now-long neglected gocco, but decided to go ahead and carve a stamp using this cool tutorial video (HERE).
Here are the results
I have to say I’m pretty pleased. And since I have bags, totes and the like on the brain, I’ve decided to try my hand at a little group of cotton totes featuring the peacock feather and either that store logo, or some version of it. Ink is on its way, and I’ve learned that a brayer is going to be my friend in the future when doing this kind of project.
Can’t wait to show off the results!
