Still Life Mercantile

I was reminded today that I have neglected to post any blog updates here in quite some time.  I’ve been posting to the tumblr blog pretty regularly, but since that’s just images, videos and links, without much in the way of store info, I suppose it was about time to give this bloggy some attention.

So the new iMac arrived last week, and let me just say, I am IN LOVE!  The screen is HUGE and I didn’t even go for the larger size.  Its just an absolutely pleasure getting to know the new guy and I can’t wait to get the POS system up and chugging along on it.  So that’s the next step and is imminent.

In the meantime, to keep myself from going into a complete creative coma, I’ve been tinkering with my stash of beads and wire and chain and whatnots and coming up with a few pretty cool new jewelry pieces.

mostly earrings, but a few necklaces in there too.  i’m working with a stash of quartz points that I’m just in love with along with some experiments in suede that might blossom into something really interesting.  I don’t think I’m going to post them on Etsy, especially since they’re all one-offs right now and they’ll all be in the shop starting tomorrow.  But as always, if you see something here that you love, feel free to email me at stilllifemercantile at gmail.com and I can post a special listing for you in my Etsy shop if you can’t come into the shop.
